Problema invio posta con thunderbird

Salve,
da qualche giorno ho problemi nell’invio della posta con thunderbird.
Nello specifico compareil messaggio:
non è stato possibile inviare il messaggio perchè la connessione smtp e scaduta. se disabilito temporaneament Avast, il messaggio viene inviato

Hello,
since some days I have problems sending mail with thunderbird.
Specifically, the message appears:
it was not possible to send the message because the smtp connection has expired. if you disable Avast temporarily, the message is sent
