Problème theununsstats

Régulièrement j’ai une fenêtre Avast qui s’ouvre me signalant le blocage d’un site theununsstats

Je n’ai trouvé aucune information sur ce site qui, semble-t-il n’existe pas.

Merci de votre aide

If you weren’t trying to connect to this site (?), either a site that you were visiting has a link to it or something in your browser cache or a browser add-on is trying to connect.

If not start by clearing your browser cache and cookies, including 3rd party cookies and restart your browser.

  • If that resolves it you should be good to go.
  • If it doesn’t try running your browser with add-ons disabled.
  • If that resolves it, have you added or updated any add-ons ?
  • If so try disabling that add-on - and restart and try again.

Thank you but it don’t work.

Perhaps there’s a connection with Norton Safe Search Enhanced, which is a fake and impossible to remove.

I just tagged how to Norton Safe Search Enhanced and it returns several hits which could help. By all accounts this add-on is paired with a program also installed on the computer, which I would guess tried to stop it from being removed.

This one from Microsoft may help.

Hi,

I keep having this problem at startup and several times a day. Theununsstats is deleted by Avast (see screenshot).

I can’t find any mention of this site online. How can I get rid of this error message permanently?

Also, I can’t update Chrome (stuck on version 142.0.7444.60 (Official Build) (64-bit) which gets stuck at 50% and Edge (stuck on version 142.0.3595.53 (Official Build) (64-bit) which gets stuck at 69%.

Thank you for help

Dominique

There are others also detecting this though the number is small.

VirusTotal scan on theununsstats(.)com

Thought the Avast Web Guard is an on-access only scanner, so isn’t included in the VT results.

I would have to ask why Edge is trying to connect to this site, are you actually trying to connect to it ?

No, I very rarely use Edge, but every day for months I’ve been getting this Avast alert. I haven’t found anything about it yet.

I’m pissed with Edge - mainly ‘Microsoft’s’ having tried to sneak it in through the back door aka as Windows Update.

I’m constantly deleting (End Task) Edge in the Windows 10 Task Manager. MS are pushing this as every so often they are back only to be removed again. As far as I’m aware there is no way to completely remove/uninstall Edge.

there is no way to completely remove/uninstall Edge

Given this link is caused/generated by Edge I have no idea why it would be doing this.
