Problems between Avast Internet Security and Steganos Online Shield

Hi

I,m using VPN solution called Steganos Online Shield, unfortunalty one of Steganos IP address is always block by Avast, when I go to internet. What do you, suggest? Contact Stegnos? Send detected IP to Avast lab? or Avast just save my PC? Avast blocks this IP only when I run/open Firefox, didn,t get any warning when I run/open Maxthon browser.

Avast Internet Security 8.0.1489
Steganos Online Shield 1.1.0.10300
Firefox 22.0

I also atttach some pitcures.

Thank you for your help.

Bye.

Ok, I just had a quick look at this post.
First thing that got my attentions is in the first screen shot.
It says “your new ip…”
Well, that is not true.
Your provider gives you a IP and only they can change it.
Steganos can’t change your real IP, only your provider can.
Looks to me they either have not given the text a good thought or they are trying to mislead you.

Maxthon (out the top of my head), is connecting to a proxy server and is not using the vpn.
It is bypassing the vpn.

The second picture you posted shows that avast has blocked something.
Looks to me a site that FF is/was trying to open.
But I do not know the language it is in, so please translate it and tell which avast provider is telling this.

Hi

Eddy you asked for translation for the second image, here is the translation.

Malicious site has been bloked

Object: http//:212.227.20.95

Infection: URL:Malware

Process: C/:ProgramFiles…/firefox.exe

Eddy you were mention that Steganos Online Shield can not change my IP and I agree with you. You can see 2images and both images show same IP address,so there must be something between Steganos Online Shield and Avast, why Avast blocks that IP? What do you recommend? Contact Stegnos?,Contact Avast?..

Thank you for you answer,

The problem is that the url is pointing to http://www.http.nl//:212.227.20.95 which very obviously is not a valid url.
My guess is that the nl depends on what country someone is in.
In my case it is The Netherlands (=NL).
Since the url is not a valid one, avast will block it.
A workaround is adding the url to the exclusion list in Avast.
That should tell Avast it is a legetimated url and Avast will not block it anymore.

As far as reporting, I would say report it to both and let us see what they say.
