I am running Vista Home Premium and 2-3 weeks ago I upgraded my Avast and had no end of problems. Could not boot up even in SAFE mode. A friend was finally able to help me but said that the problem was Avast with Vista and that I should wait a while before doing the upgrade to give Avast time for fix the problem. he said the problem was widespread. I am not a sophisticated user and would like to to if it’s okay to do the upgrade now? Thanks.
There is no real clear answer to your inquiry. It depends upon what other security software is on your system.
