Problems with Remote assistance and Sheild help on Win7, Really need help.

I done remote assistance with a friend of mine to help her out with a few things, after about 15mins I closed the connection due to lagg. (It was already lagging of course), My problem is in turn, it locked her keyboard out somehow and she can’t type what so ever.
Second problem: Her shields, Once enabled, Stop her from accessing the internet, which I find to be very suspicious as she did run into the “Dorkbot” Malware on her other laptop a few months ago.

Can your friend access this forum to run some scans ?

A reboot should clear the keyboard problem

I was waiting on you Mr. Essexboy, The problem is persistent, I told her to reboot and she did, the problem still didn’t go away, we tried another Remote assistance and I could see the Firewall telling me the connection was active, (I have AIS she has Avast! Free) But the window was not appearing at all.

OK next step would be for her to disable avast and see if that breaks the connection

I first noticed her shields were disabled during the first remote assist I done with her, She told me she HAD to disable them to be able to get on the internet, but the annoying thing is now, she’s gone off and I doubt she can get back on, I’ve told her to try and she needs to if she is to run the various scans you advise and etc. I’ll keep in touch with her and I’ll see if she gets on later at all, If she does, I’ll get her straight on here, it may be a struggle since she isn’t good with computers. (At all)

Ask her to try safe mode with networking

I’ll try to contact her, She may be on later but we’ll see, theres no rush at the moment.
