Problems with upgrading

Hello

I just bought the software. I have the license key but for some reason I still can’t upgrade. When i’m upgrading, it says ‘Initializing, please wait’ but nothing happens. Overall progress remains unchanged and no matter how long i wait it keeps saying initializing, please wait. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I would suggest a clean install.

What version were you upgrading from avast free 5.x or 6.0 ?
