Problems with USB flash drives

Hello,

I am just evaluating 7.0.1426 and everything looked quite good, but then I discovered severe problems with USB flash drives. Sometime it takes quite long for them to be enabled (similar post(s) already exist in the forum) and they sometimes cannot be formatted (using Windows “Disk Management”) and copy rates of large files (even uncritical video files) experience a huge slowdown.

Do developers monitor the forum?

I’ve had a similar problem but it’s worse in Vista than XP. I’m not sure if it’s Avast though. “Scan all files” is disabled and the setting for scanning removable media is only supposed to scan auto-run items. I finally discarded the theory that it’s Avast, but it might be and if I could figure out how to fix it that would make my day. :slight_smile:
