i had a message whenever avast tries to scan something or when i turn on my laptop…
‘The procedure entry point ?Convert to real file@CStr@@QAEKXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library aswCmnB.dll.’
What does this mean and what can i do about it?, i cant even open up avast as this message comes up… Please help!!
Which is your Windows? 98, Me, XP, Vista?
Do you use any other antivirus in your computer?
Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?

Search your disk for aswCmnB.dll file - how many occurrences do you get?
(and where are they, if more than one?)
