new avast instalation downloaded now, installed, and updated.

If I click with right button over “a” and choice Program Settings… = nothing happens. Really nothing.
It seems like this option isn’t active. Computer ignore the click.

well, new experience. Opened avast icon on desktop. > clicked over settings and settings again. Touché. The setting screen appears but only this way.
There have been a number of topics covering this problem (one that has not effected everyone), so a forum search for 4.7 and program settings should find some information. This is probably the most relevant http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20700.0.
Try right clicking the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, Menu, and select Program Settings from here, that seems to open it OK, then for some reason you are then able to access it from the avast icon, right click menu.
There is probably another issue if you have accent in the path to the avast folder although this doesn’t appear to effect you in the same way as others, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20752.0.
