Since the last main program update when my Windows 7 laptop starts the whole Avast Premier program screen is shown/maximised instead of just the notification area icon as before. It’s a pest having to close it every time. Hunted but can’t find anything to select to change this so a point in the right direction would be much appreciated 
you may try this
controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option … wait a minute and reboot
any change?
