I have a laptop with Windows 8 and avast 8 installed that automatically updated to 2014 even though I had the option for program update set to manual. I looked in the settings of 2014 and the update setting is for program is still set to manual. I do not think manual is the default setting, correct?
Its been mentioned before, apparently Microsoft is forcing the updates from V8 to V9 because of certain issues for Windows 8 though I dont know the specific reason.
