I bought my box from Dell (notorious for loading all sorts of craps on new PC) and there is something called Program Updates. It is not working as well. See .jpg images please.
What does this program do and can I uninstall it?

Why are you saying it does not work?
See http://consumer.installshield.com/ for more info.
It seems that not that many software vendors have agreements with them, so few or generally none update will be available.
How Does the Update Manager Work?Software vendors use the Update Service, a product created by InstallShield, to deliver updates to you. Software vendors can build the ability to send you product updates into the product or they may choose to send you a message that an update is available from their Web site. In either case, the Update Manager gives you control over what updates and messages you receive.
When an application you install uses the Update Service, the Update Manager may also installed. You can access the Update Manager through the Start menu by selecting Program Updates.
Better than uninstalling is just configurate the update settings as you want.

I bought mine about 3 month ago and had only the operating system installed. There is a program available (FREE) to remove most if not all of the extra crapp from your new Dell The program is included in the latest Freeware From the WWW available here.
