Protect Uninstall of Avast Mobile Security

Hello Community:

I’m evaluating Avast Mobile Security for Android.
It’s a nice product.
I want to install it on my child phone and I WANT the app uninstall be protected by a secure code.
So if he tries to uninstall the app he is asked for a password/secure code.
Do you know a way to get this result?
Without this feature the app is purposeless for me.

I set the pin then rebooted. When I try to uninstall the app no pin is requested! Android 5.1.1- rooted

Hi,

you can lock Google Play and the Settings app, but if you use a launcher that supports direct uninstallation then you are out of luck at the moment.

Yes, especially with the new AMS5 since there won’t be any root-specific features. At least not at the moment.

I know it but this is a strong restriction. It would be nice to protect uninstall of AMS only.

I know, but at the moment we can’t distinguish which app is being uninstalled (or that the dialog is actually an uninstallation one). Google removed it in Android 4.x or 5.0 (don’t remember the exact version from the top of my head).
