Protection against theft of digital resources

Hi,
I recently watched a video blog about the theft of digital resources. It speaks about the DDoS, Bruteforce, botnets and more. (http://www.storagepipe.com/blog/DDoS-Bitcoin-Brute-Force-Malware/)

We are using Avast Premier in our office. Could that prevent such attacks? Our website is hosted on cloud servers. So, I hope that wouldn’t be much a problem. We use the internet heavily for research and analysis. So, we would like to know whether we should opt for Avast for business or Avast endpoint protection.

Please, recommend us a solution.

Thank you.

A av has nothing to do with protection against a DDos attack.
For that you need to get a service like this one > https://sucuri.net/website-security/ddos-protection/

A av also has nothing to do with a brute force attack > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brute-force_attack

And last, a av has nothing to do with detection Botnets.
It can however detect malicious software that is used by Botnets if the av vendor has the needed relevant information about it.

AEP (or the cloud service) can be cheaper than using Premier.
e.g., Based on 1 year, 10 systems :
AEP $199,92
Premier $219,99

AEP (or the cloud version) sure is easier when it comes to handling everything as all is done from a central console.

But you should leave things like this to the admin.

Thanks Eddy for your suggestion.
