If you see the number changing in P2P Shield,then it’s protecting it 
I belive all eMule versions are covered since main architecture is still official eMule (eMule mods are based on official eMule)

It should.
Click on the avast! blue tray icon - the “On-Access Scanner” window will open. Click on the “Details >>” button, if it’s not already expanded. Then, select the “P2P Shield” provider in the left list.
