Anybody know a public FTP server where I could upload a large file so another dude can download it?
He’s unable to download it directly from the website at the moment.
It’s the install file for a shareware program.

Not so much a ‘public FTP server’ (did you not try your friend google for this search term) but these are file sharing sites.

I had tried google, however didn’t want to just randomly try one of the websites and get stuck with malware.
Hence why I called on the knowledge of the Avast Gurus.
Rapidshare worked perfectly.

You’re welcome, I have used both rapidshare.com and 4shared.com.
Even so if I was starting from scratch I would run the search and then chose one, then I would also use google to modify the search and put reviews in front of a product search and see what people think.
