Question about AdwCleaner

Today,new version of AdwCleaner 3.007 found registry key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes{6A1806CD-94D4-4689-BA73-E35EA1EA9990}
Before that,AdwCleaner version 3.006 didn’t find anything.
Is it safe to delete that key ?
BTW,I don’t have any problems.
Thanks.

Thanks,but I don’t understand.So this is FP ?

Depends on what search engine is defined in there. There are malicious search engines.

In IE10 I have Google as default search engine.I also have Bing and DuckDuckGo.

It looks to me everything is ok, but to make sure I would like to see the entire registry entry.
Please export HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\ and attach it to your next post here.

start > run > regedit > navigate to that key > left click it to highlight > right click and choose “export”

I’ve checked SearchScopes in Registry and there were two Bing search engines.One of them was obviously
fake so I deleted it.I guess it was not FP.Everything is fine with IE10.
Thanks Eddy.

You’re welcome.
