Question about avast free edition

Hi,
I just installed the avast home edition for my desktop and laptop. Its says “your protection agaist virus and spyware will end in 30 days, you need to register to stay protected” Do I still need to purchase the product after a while?

Avast is free, will remain free, but requires registration annually.

Click on Maintenance, than Registration for online registering.

  1. Open Avast.
  2. Click on “Maintenance” then “Registration”.
  3. Fill out the form for your license key and click “Submit”.

Inserting the license key into: avast! Free Antivirus, avast! Pro Antivirus and avast! Internet Security.
