Hi, I was here a couple times about 2 years ago and got excellent answers to the questions I had. I recently downloaded the new version (11.1.2245) but ran into some problems using it with Internet Explorer 11. This new Avast is freezing webpages. So what I did was go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs, Manage Add-Ons and disabled it. I had to disable a bunch of things under the Manage Add-On section to figure out what was causing websites to freeze and the moment I disabled Avast, the freezing issues immediately stopped. My question is whether Avast is still protecting me if I have it disabled on Internet Explorer? Because if you double click the Avast icon on the desktop, it still says “You Are Protected”. Thanks.
