After reading your suggestions about finjan over WOT I have a question. I googled chiggers and 20 minutes later the finjan circle is still spinning. Does it always take this long for it to tell me it is a safe link. The WOT was always really quickly. If I have to wait this long to see if it is a safe link I wont get much searching done. Thanks for any help.

As the finjan scanning is really real time (you can test here for their online scanner: http://www.m86security.com/resources/url-analysis.asp
you see that it takes some time before you get the actual results scanned against their databases),
with WOT this is faster because it is not a real time malicious url scanner - it is a reputation scanner, and only renders the results in their reputation database, it is as good as the input there of contributors and how recently the data are.
There is another real time scanner that also come as a browser plug in by DrWeb’s:

It does not scans further down, so it is not that reliable really…

Also we have is Wepawet: http://wepawet.cs.ucsb.edu/ for specific analysis of untrusted URL

There are more but test these out first, and don’t forget the avast shields in the av solution are awfully good,
to be protected against all script threats inside a Mozilla browser use the NoScript extension,
best in combination with the RequestPolicy extension to be fully and utterly protected even against unknown threats…

Sometimes Finjan site is busy but WOT is available because the WOT site is asleep at the switch :

This is what frustrates me with the WOT ratings system. Instead of checking the site, they simply rely on users who may not even be
