Dear Avast,
When Avast encounters a virus or malware threat, the default is usually to move the file to the chest. If a user selects the option to participate in the Avast community, during the install of the program, does the Avast community get anonymous data about the threat from the moment Avast detects it on a system? Or MUST the user submit the file for the chest to the lab for it to really be detected?
When Avast detects a virus, I presume that the threat is stopped. What is the difference between when a virus is found and stopped, as opposed to the pop-up warning that appears above the system tray that would say the type of threat has been blocked?
Coinciding with the above, for the ultimate protection message, if you send a file to the virus lab and indicate that it is malware, the ultimate goal would be getting the threat blocked message as the pop-up warning, which shows that the threat really has been blocked.
