Question about Message Shield (and Web Shield)

Hello,

I was wondering if Message Shield (and web shield) check against a local blacklist, or if the message (and urls) are uploaded to the avast servers for checking.

I am basically wondering if my SMS messages get forwarded to the avast servers, or are they simply checked against a black list that is updated with definitions.

URLs you open (Web Shield) and URLs you receive via SMS are sent anonymous to our server and checked for their cleansiness.

Hi,

we actually do both, but in case of the Message Shield only URLs are being sent to our cloud so you don’t need to worry about your privacy.
