I don’t know much about Opera web browers cause I am still using IE6, and it time to change.
At Opera website they have 2 different download files
Without Java about 3.5mb
With Java about 16.5mb
Question is should I download the Java yes or no? please advise for more information, and I know there are people in here been using Opera more than me.
I also am considering Opera, and would like more info on what is the proper download/procedure. I don’t mind a little advertising (compared to Yahoo that little window is nothing) and what I have read makes it very tempting to try the free version. More please?
What Hawk said is correct. I also use Opera. After downloading the initial version of Opera With Java you won’t have to download the long version again. On any future updates of Opera just choose the short version without Java to download and you should be just fine. Yes Opera and Avast get along just fine, no problems that I have ever had using that combination. Enjoy your cooler weather in your “Gold Coast” region.
Just remember to stay up to date since it’s no longer as safe you thought it was. Once it’s been breached, more attacks are sure to follow. Never let your guard down just because you’re not using IE.
Yes as bob says be sure to be aware of any security updates concerning Opera. If your used to using I.E. and are used to hearing about security issues with it then I am sure your aware you need to use the same awareness with any other browser.
