Question about safety

I have a question, I can’t seem to get ahold of any avast staff so I’m posting it here;
First of all, Avast came with my computer already installed and everything, however, does that make me bound to the Terms of Agreement? I never technically agreed to them.
Secondly, while doing a smart scan avast pulled up classified documents, I’m wondering, is that allowed? Avast has access to my address, passwords, personality, etc and I’d like to not have avast accessing that information however I’m not sure what to do (if I can do anything).

A#t the first startup you mainly have checked somewhat. More to say with Deadpools words: Injustice everywhere.
Be Happy with a Solution having access to your Data, it could be much more evil people :wink: And if you downloaded what ever you trust in the Problem will be solved with the deactivating and uninstall of Avast.
::slight_smile:

I agree, I’d suggest finding another solution that you trust and then download that one. After activating it, you can uninstall Avast.

Sorry but you never install 2 resident AV’s. Totally remove the current one before installing a new Antivirus program.
In order for Avast (or any other AV) to protect you, it needs access to every part of your computer.

If you post your problem, we may be able to help you solve it.
