OK I’m not very computer literate so hopefully someone can answer this,If I set my system restore point to yesterday and then lets say down load the latest avast version today,without uninstalling the present 4.8 version,and I start to have problems with the newest version as some have,if I used the system restore,would I still have the 4.8 version on my computer,hope someone can understand what I’m trying to say,as for uninstalling the 4.8 prior to down loading the newest version,I know its not really necessary (even thou I’m sure many will say just to do it),plus if I do have any problems if I do uninstall 4.8 prior to d/l’ing the new version,and want to go back to the 4.8 version is it even still available for d/l?
I think v 4.8 is still available, but you should have the setup file already on your PC right ? as to your system restore question, of course yes it will send you back to how it was before you changed anything; keep in mind that sys restore has a certain ammoint of disk space reserved, and restore points get overwritten as space is needed. So do not count indefinitely on that restore point. Another option would be a system image…but seriously, no big deal after all if you uninstalled 4.8 first before installing 5.0, which would result in avoiding possible setup failures…
