Hi,
Hi,
I was wondering if you guys have avast´s “web shield” resident provider turned ON along side with OA´s own or if you prefer one over the other and why?
Thanks for any comments
Hi,

I would say that the avast web shield is far superior to the OAs option, you only need to browse the viruses and worms forums to get an idea of the protection it offers.
I certainly wouldn’t suggest running both as a) I don’t know how the OA one works and b) since they are essentially looking for similar things I wonder about conflict, but as I said I don’t know how the OA one works.
Hi Diazruanova,
I used to use both together (purely out of not really knowing it was there…) and in my experience the avast! Web shield was FAR superior.
The most I would see from the OA webshield was ‘ActiveX content blocked by Online Armor’
Whereas the avast! Webshield well, as DavidR said, the Virus and Worms section of the forum says it all…
