Can u schedule daily scans on the free Home avast? If so can someone tell me how. Thanks much.

Scheduled scanning is only available in the pro version. (That is one of the few areas where the free version of Avast is limited.)
There is a workaround, which is to use task scheduler to run the context menu scanner, ashquick.exe, to scan the hard drive, but to my mind, it’s not really worth it.
The protection is good enough that I’ve seldom had to deal with an actual infection. I guess if you were a bit unlucky you could get an infection that was new or rare enough that it wasn’t in the database, which really is the only reason to run a scan. This hasn’t happened to me.
You can’t schedule in Home version. Only in Professional.
