Question re meaning of warning message...

In my log viewer, a certain warning repeats a number of times:

function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x000004C7, dwRes is 000004C7.

Does anyone know what this message means and what I should do about it?

Note that my Avast virus database updates are successful and I am able to run scans.

Nothing that much important to be worried as you’ve written:

Maybe you just can’t update as your system boot… Do you use a permanent connection?

I use a dial-up connection.

And the error persists? I mean, did it occur again or just that time?
Can you manually update avast program?
