If this is for avast Home version and it is for Home and non-commercial use then the same key can be used on both.
If it is for avast Pro (and or commercial use) then you would need a licence for each.

I have a question to piggyback onto Mary’s.
I’m looking at multiple Virus/malware protection programs. I have 4 PC’s I need to have protection for. I see that the Pro version can protect up to 10 PC’s but how would I get the software onto all 4 PC’s without having to get the CD? The PC’s are on 2 separate networks. Two on one network and two on the other. Would I get 4 separate keys and then download from each PC?
I appreciate any help you can provide.

That isn’t correct the Pro version can only protect 1 PC.
The avast! Professional Family Pack comes with 10 Pro licenses when used in conjunction with Windows Home Server Edition. See http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-professional-family-pack.html . If that doesn’t fit with what you have, then 4 Pro licenses would be required and would have to be installed on each.
This however is much different to this topic so should be placed in its own topic so as not to confuse issues here.

I’ll start a new thread. Thanks for the heads up, David.
