I am about to receive my new laptop in less than 2 weeks and will be purchasing the Avast Internet Security license for 2 years, but I have two questions:
(1) Will avast 6 work for my new laptop: Hp Dv6t quad core, Windows 7 Premium Home edition, 64 bit? It currently works on this laptop (Windows XP, 32 bit)but I’m not sure if it’s compatible with the new laptop.
(2) If Avast 7 comes out 1 year from now and I still have a 1 year license left for avast 6, will I be able to upgrade to Avast 7 for free?

Yes Avast6! will work prefectly fine in your new HP laptop. Avast!6 is designed to work on both 32 and 64 bit Windows editions. Only thing you need to do is, download the setup file from http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_ais.exe website link, and insert the license file that you receive from Avast!.
About the Avast!7… We hope it will be released pretty soon, and your Avast!6 will be updated automatically with the Program Update.
