Hey i have a question about ie9 beta how big is it on the hard drive? and does it install a feedback and tool or something?
I’m asking cause ie8 is crashing on a website with actionscript 3 coded flash on it. and i’m getting tired of ie8 being slow on the website and so is google chrome portable and firefox portable opera portable they all are slow on that website for some reason…
No idea how big it is, it overwrite’s the ie8 file i think so there are no size’s given in the program file’s.
Yes it does install a feed back tool, i have’nt had any problem’s what so ever so i ended up deleting the feedback tool.
No problems for me neither but I did try it by clicking on the Tools (Alt-X) icon then Send feedback and was prompted to install Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5 that I could not as I have a more up to date version installed with Windows Live Essentials 2011.
IE 8 according to my experience are always slow compared to Opera and Chrome. Firefox is the number 2 slow browser after IE 8.
Did you use the latest version of Opera, Chrome, and Firefox portable?
How about posting a link to the website? I’d like to test whether it’s slow or not.
It was Disney’s club penguin website. they updated to actionscript 3 and it causing my webbrowser to become slow when playing to I help keep the island/game safe on it. And if there is many players in a room ie8 goes into non-responding and just crashes on me. i e-mailed them and they told me i may have to update ie.
No prompt to me for Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant but its installed so i dont care. Also Essentials 2011 isnt very important i can say. I alway updated my Messenger to the last version until he stop to prompt me. So i dont care. But i know that i receive everys news things from the Messenger. I just checked now and my version is the 2009. But i know that many dont have the latest Messenger they just want to talk with their friends. So they dont take care of the notification or the Windows Update for it. Also the latest 2011 package install full things that i dont like and see so im like “Omg Toolbar, Mesh, Outlook stuffs that aint necessary and i dont use this and mores…”. I think they should introduce a way to choice which programs to install and update in the setup. So if i got the 2011 its will be maybe in a new computer lol.
I installed ie9 beta and it made my account on my computer lose access the windows search feature so i remove ie9 and did a system restore. Any Idea why it made me lose access to windows serach on the start menu?
in my experience using IE upgrade is good if it is in complete download but if it is in beta it is dangerous
for the reason that IE is the essential component of Window and if anything is change there is a chance that some program will not response to a command. unable to connect to internet because of insufficient code about your system.
the net will not respond to your system because your system is in unidentified state.
if you wand upgrade of IE much better to wait for a full package to avoid damage in your system.

Mr.Agent, you can just install the part’s that you want, i only installed the mail section of window’s live 2011 on my main system and the mail and photo gallery on my other system.
