That wouldn’t be quite clever thing to do… avast! is well known as skinable antivirus tool. If they deliver avast! without at least 3 skins in standard bundle, it will confuse everyone. Anyway, it’s not like we are talking about hundreds of MB, install versions of skins are 100-700 kb large in phisical size.

All you are talking about 4.5 version of avast! I want to ask if all these great new features mentioned will be included in home edition or not?
A little off-topic here, but I wanna ask if the “Unpack temp files in memory” feature will be implemented in Avast 4.5?
By “Unpack temp files in memory” feature, I mean the files in archives such as RARs or ZIPs which cannot be directly scanned by avast!.
Also this feature would keep fragmentation and disk-writes to a minimum since unpacked files from archives are not extracted to the temp folder. Would prefer a user-selectable RAM size for avast! to reserve for the archive unpacking.
Even though I doubt that this feature is going to come in version 4.5, will this feature be considered into the “to-dos”?
Archive unpacks are driving my GoBack crazy… >:(
All I could request is that Avast 4.5 is an equal regarding resource-usage like the current version! (take care of people who have a non-new-pc) ;D
Wouldn’t it be interesting if all the possible skins could be posted and allow the members to vote on the one they like best?

Well, we would certainly like to release the update as soon as possible (especially because of the new WinXP SP2), but the truth is that there are still things to do… e.g. a few issues regarding the (un)packers.
The problem with software development is that it’s hard to predict when all known problems will be fixed…
No problem at all Igor… We can wait, no matter how long it takes. It’s better to finish those things working slow, than to release it fast and invoke million other problems. We can and we will wait.
