i got avast version 4.7 home editon installed
and i use Windows live messenger
im trying to set avast to scan files by file transferring could some one
help me and let me know the correct settings

avast has a dedicated provider for IM scanning. MSN is automatically protected.
But if you want to set an on-demand scanner into MSN, point it to:
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
