As in the topic,
I could say that this is more of a habit than a logical requirement. Just not quite sure if this is necessary.

Well, I like it there.
Old avast versions allow the option to remove the right click entry if the user want. I don’t know if the settings still work.

I’m using 7.0 and it does not contain scan option in right click menu… I’m looking for solutions to activate it actually… also i’m not sure if it is necessary. Is avast scanning the file every time before we double click it like in windows?
Your installation is not good. avast! installs the right click menu by default.
Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?
Yes, avast! scans files on open/execute.
Thank you very much for your help…
But what is control panel T.T
In System Preference, there’s no add/ remove programs…
I cannot find any of them… I’m on Lion 10.7.3…
Sorry, my fault. I’ve thought you were on Windows. Bear with me.
Ok, So for the mac version, does it contain a right click option?
No, right now it does not. Do you miss it?
