QuickTime Streamer and trojan?

Weird problem. Since todays update, every time I try to watch streaming video via QuickTime player, aVast gives me warning about win32:trojano-2949[trj].

C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTime.qts
C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTimeStreaming.qtx

Those two files are infected.

Also: When I’m tryin to remove Quicktime from my computer via controlpanel, installshield Wizard chrashes to DLL error. What a…?

aVast gave me also another trojan warning in temp directory, but when I tried to scann that directory, aVast didn’t find anything…

What is going on?

Thanks Tech. I think I have to check other forums too before posting my guestions. I’m bit suprised how late my aVast updatet from virusdatabase.

What do you mean? Which is your VPS version?

Yes, you’re right… But, why did you say it delays too much for you to receive it?
Did you set avast for automatic update or not?

Automatic updates are on, but it’s weard. Program updates only when I start my computer or when I use manual updating. ???

avast checks if there is an available connection each 40 seconds.
If there isn’t, wait more 40 seconds to check. Checking does not take more than one second and, of course, does not use the Internet band.
If there is a connection, check for an update. If there is not any new file to download, wait 4 hours to start checking again. If there is an available update, start it and install it. Again, wait 4 hours to check the next time.
Some of this settings could be configurated different, I posted the default values of the avast4.ini file.

So, you should get automatic updates each 4 hours… ::slight_smile:
