Hi all After I ran the scan I got these messages in the report after the scan finished. Unable to scan: Archive is password protected. I am running ME. How can i set this up so it scans the Archives. I also got a virus which i put in the chest and that worked great. ty Angelous

As Avast does not know the password it cannot scan the file(s), usually these are signature files or quarantined files from the likes of Lavasoft/spybot etc. Once open the archives will be scanned by Avast. Otherwise they are not a problem

Hi angelous,

Don’t worry too much about password-protected archives- they’re usually harmless.

Post the exact warning from the avast! log if you want confirmation.
