I’m currently using Avast! 9.0 (I just installed it on my MacBook Pro OSX 10.8.5). Initially, to my surprise, the avast software found 44 infections. - great! On the second scan, it found 3. Despite the report showing that these threats had been deleted (no you can not select them and click delete - see screen shot), I continue to get pop errors about them regularly. I’ve even gone through the trouble of locating the files manually, dragging them to the trash and securely emptying the trash but to no avail – the messages continue to pop up.

I can’t really recommend this to my team or business in this state. I did do some research and it looks like this may be a difficult problem to resolve. Is there a resolution? Thanks.

You should not really delete these files.

These are the memory state of your Windows virtual machines, it’s possible that these VMs have a virus or it’s a false positive, but if they do the virus has to be removed via an AV running in the Windows VM.
