I’ve been arguing with a Samsung Tablet most of the afternoon, as it had a Police scam infection that prevented use of the tablet in normal mode. In safe mode the tablet was usable but obviously I couldn’t use Avast to check for an infection.
After some effort I managed to identify (guess at) the offending process and stop it, I then ran Avast on the tablet and it did not flag up the offending item which appears in App Manager as “System Malware” (yes, really) with package named org.interdependence.gregariously
Is there a reporting mechanism for this, and what would I need to send (and how).
avast Ransomware removal was not helpful before, should I install it again and run it now I have access to normal mode ?
