Have you got a sample of it ?
If so send it to avast.
There are times that nothing will be detected on VT by avast, but the VT scan can’t replicate the uses on-access scan on the system. The Hardened Mode and DeepScreen modules may well pick this up.

Although avast will scan it and not detect a thing, there are times when it acts on execution (evo:gen i think) and stops it, but since this is a ransomware , successful execution = danger, especially if its one that encrypts your files as oppose to just lock your desktop

With CryptoLocker, detection after the fact is useless.
Unless it’s blocked from doing it’s encryption, the damage is already done.
Any indication when avast! will prevent this infection from getting to our computers ???
I’m already aware that one competitor product that blocks Crypto from getting a foothold.
