RC 1035, crashed my PC

  1. I updated program to new version
  2. restarted
    3.Mem test
  3. Received a error “windows could’nt star” then
  4. Starup repair console,
  5. restore the previous version and windows worked again.

Yes, I made a clean install too. Unistall, reboot, reinstal, reboot, crashed; and NOO I dont have another security software. I am runing Vista 64

Well, I blame your Comodo. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe uninstall Comodo and avast, boot, install avast, boot, install Comodo.

I resolved the problem installing beta 1021

The latest beta is the 6.0.1035 anyway…

I know that, but that version caused the crash in my pc… There is another user with similar problem in Win7

Yes - I had the same problem - and I also use comodo FW.

However - if comdo FW is the problem this would be the first clash I have ever had between avast and comodo FW.

There don’t seem to me to be any changes between the two beta builds that would suggest this would happen now.

Any (mini)dumps?
Usually in c:\windows\minidump…

Sorry, no not in my case (not sure why, because windows did send an error report to microsoft. I must have cleared it somehow when I ran system cleaner trying to get rid of webrep from IE9 (which didn’t unistall with the rest of avast for some reason).

No minidump here. It dont cause the PC BSOD, simply it cause the computer to boot in “Startup repair console”. So it blocks the computer to boot normally.
