Apologies if this is a silly question, but I’m afraid I’m not very technical.
I bought “Avast” for my main PC and two others at some point last year. My main PC has just had a hard drive problem which has resulted in my having to have a new hard drive.
The computer shop installed “Avast Free” and when I started it up I wanted to change that to my existing paid version. But I can’t really see how to do it.
Going through the program itself I can only see a place to re-purchase it. Going through the website I can see where to “add a new pc” and I suppose my new hard drive counts as a new pc right? But I already have three pc’s registered and if I add a new one that would be four, which my licence does not allow.
How do I tell it that this pc is the same pc… just with different pajamas on?
