Re: Another svchost.exe/opticizer Malware Issue

It seems to have gotten a few of us! Found after attempting a mass PDF download, a series of books from a file sharing site (was finally dumb enough to follow a link, schoolboy error I know). Anyway there’s a constant stream of the same warnings all the other guys have had. Log books are attatched, although the last recommended program won’t run on my laptop (HP Pavilion, Windows Eight).

Can anyone help out?

Cheers in advance guys

Apologies, didn’t mean to post three times, computer didn’t show it had been posted! :stuck_out_tongue:

The other posts have been removed. Now you’ve to wait a bit…

Have the alerts ceased ?

Hadn’t replied because I wanted to give it some time to check.
So far, so good, if I have any more issues I’ll re post/PM you.
If you have the time could you explain what it was and how the fix works (in simple terms) please?
Curious as to how it works and I want to prevent it happening again.

Thanks again for the help!
