Re: email address in whitelist is being marked as Phishing - WHY NO HELP?! SUCKS

Hi

I’m running avast Internet Security on XP Pro with SP3.

I have the following email address in my whitelist:

dailyreckoning@electricmessage.co.uk

However all emails received from that address are marked as being Phishing. Should I be doing something else to stop this other than putting the address in the white list?

Thanks

Nexar

Anyone able to answer this for me, please?

This is getting really annoying and I’m beginning to have serious doubts about my decision to use avast.

I have had no response to a fairly ‘easy’ (in my view) query.

NOT GOOD, NOT GOOD AT ALL!!

Please open a technical support ticket: http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit

Thanks, I wish some one had said that to me straight away.

I have submitted the ticket …but how do I see where it is OR what progress has been made?

On the Support section I can’t find a way of finding the ticket that I submitted.

STILL VERY FRUSTRATING!!

The web site needs a ‘User Experience’ manager.

Nexar

  1. You’re welcome.
  2. They’ll contact you, but be patient, it’s weekend.

Hey Asyn

Point 1 was a sarcasm!! Sorry that you got the brunt of it but avast, it’s product and service are a JOKE!!

Point 2. Where does it say that’s how it works? Poor POOR user experience.

I’m a computer consultant. Right now avast is at the TOP of my list… for bad mouthing AND BOTTOM for recommending.

Thanks for your eventual response.

Don’t know whether they pay you to do this… but if they do then find another company. Even if they don’t … find ANOTHER COMPANY.

This SUCKS!!

Could you confirm that it is Avast that is marking it as Phishing ?
And this is what the whitelist looks like
