I experienced many of the problems mentioned on this forum when upgrading to Outlook 2007. In order to complete my upgrade to Outlook 2007, I need to disable the add-in. I now want to re-enable it. How do I do this?
Hey pmizota, Click on the A ball, make sure details are showing, click on the outlook plug-in and click enable.
If you uninstalled the outlook plug-in, go the add or remove programs, click on Avast, click on change/remove, click on change, then next, put a check-mark next to the outlook plug-in then click OK. You’ll have to reboot for it to take effect.
Hmm…when I click on the A ball and go to the Outlook/Exchange area, I don’t see anything that allows me to “enable”. There is a message stating that “The provider is waiting for a subsystem to start.”
BTW, if it matters, I am using the free version of Home.
You could enable the avast plugin into MS Outlook:
Outlook 2007 > Tools > Trust center > Add-inns > Manage Disabled items.
As reported a lot of times, the message “The provider is waiting on the subsystem to start” will be shown there until you open MS Outlook. The plugin will be enabled automatically after that.
That did it. Much thanks.
