Hi all for some reason Avast is now detecting C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\erpsetup.exe as a trojan as of the update VPS update 000738-0 03/05/2007 the desciption Avast Home is producing is Win32:Trojan-gen. {Other} . I tried to get this file scan by total virus but is is to large at 798 kb . Just wondered what you guys think could this be a false positive ? I have tried a scan with a A Squared nothing found .
I’ve just done scan of this file with Kaspersky online scanner and according them it is not any type of malware so I can only assume this a false positive and not a trojan . I guess Peter we will see what the experts have to say . Thanks for your reply .
Hello DARKLORDSPARDA I as using FF 2.0.0.3 latest version and my version of FF "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox does not have erpsetup.exe Are you using a program called Error_Repair_Pro? I tried to download a copy of erpsetup.exe from http:://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/winxp/diskutl/ and Avast scan on download completion went nuts!!
Do you have BitComet Turbo 1.6.5.0 installed? Seem suspicious to me
I just updated to VPS 000738-1 after a reboot it is no longer detected . I have run a scan on at http://virusscan.jotti.org/
All clear now for file erpsetup.exe .
Scan taken on 03 May 2007 11:34:20 (GMT)
