Avast is protecting me. I ran a quick scan and it showed I had 2 infections. Ran a boot time scan and no threats detected. Then ran another quick scan, also no threats detected.
I did not get the red popup that says threat detected.

For a start VPS updates and streaming updates can also resolve false positives. So that is one instance why it may not be detected on subsequent scans.
You won’t get a red popup as that is only for the on-access scanners, so unless that files was running it wouldn’t be being scanned.
What are the on-access scanners?
The real-time scanners, file system shield, web shield and mail shield.
They are scanning every accessed file on the computer.
easysolveinstaller.exe seems to come from comcast … something you know?
Comcast is my ISP and has been for several years.
seems to have something to do with XFINITY from comcast…
avast gave it a generic detection… maybe FP?
upload and test file at virustotal
Xfinity and Comcast are the same ISP.
I don’t know how to upload the file to virustotal.
google it…or search youtube for how to do it video…
That’s it? I’m not about to use google or search you tube for how to do it.
So why should anyone else do the searching for you, if you refuse to do it ???
I didn’t ask anyone else to do the searching for me.
Well the comment “That’s it ?” in your last post suggests that the answer wasn’t enough, almost ungrateful.

I don’t care what that comment suggests. You can’t read my mind!
We can’t do everything for you.
Sometimes you need to take the initiative.
By doing something on your own will help you learn. 8)
ok…then we know that next time you ask…replying is waste of time. :
