Re-installation of licensed Pro Version

I had to do a complete re-install of a hard drive and as part of that installed the current avast free version (100209-0). I inserted my Pro license key (like last time) which I received in an email a few months back but the banner still says → “avast Free AntiVirus”. And I see a note about license key file now?

What is the correct procedure for re-installation of the (paid for) Pro Version?

Your pro license is for version 4.8 if you got it a few months back and needs to be converted.

  • avast! 5 Pro license convert from 4.8 Pro license. Try http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php now, fill in the form giving your email and 4.8 Pro License key and they will send the new license file to you (presumably it will check you have a legit 4.8 Pro license first).

Try this it should work, there should be an Insert avast! Pro / … license file button click that and you should be able to convert to the pro version once you receive your converted license.

I cannot find the license key. The only link that will open comes up as incorrect.

What license key ?
If 5.0 pro it should have been emailed as an attachment.
