Hello!
I have a problem: Lets say there is a virus file on http://..**.* web page, which is automatically loads when I try to access another clean page. The problem is that when I add this “Virus containing” page to the avast Web Shield URL Blocking list, it still opens, & the virus still begans to download to my PC :(.
Any suggestions ???. Thanks.
I would suggest the use of wildcards but exercise care
.domain-name. so every thing before, like sub-domains would be caught by the first wildcard and any top level domains or folders would also be trapped. Effectively any url with .domain-name. in it should be trapped. However if the url started http:// without the www wouldn’t get caught so domain-name. would probably be better.
If you can show us what the url blocking path you have wrap it in code tags if you are worried about active links, example shown below with { } to avoid display problems, the real brackets are square
