Today is the anniversary of my registering avast free home version. It’s my understanding that I should have received an e-mail to re-register? I didn’t. My anti virius is still working so far. Should I go to re-register page & re- register? When I click on MY AVAST on my anti-virius & click on the box where my current registeration key is it has TYPE: HOME, EXPIRATION: NEVER, UPDATES EXPIRATION: FEB. 01 2008. Does the NEVER mean I DON’T have to re-re-gister? And what about that UPDATE EXPIRATION? Thanks.
Not an email, but a message in your desktop. Are you using the latest avast program version?
It is not expired because it works for 14 months (not 12).
Never means the program itself (not the updates). You need to register to receive both programs and virus database updates.

Never relates to the Program you have to re-register for the Updates:
The Home registration gives 14 months of updates, and it looks like that is the case with your Updates Expiration date, 14 months and the remainder of that month so the 1st day if the next month is your re-registration date.
You are normally notified in the form of a pop-up starting 21 days before you need to re-register.
When you need to, complete the avast! 4 Home Registration form and you will receive an email from register @ avast.com (without the spaces) with your registration key…
