Re-registration Lockup Avast Free 7.0.1407

Got message my registration expires in 23 days. Re-registration completed properly with new expiration date.

Upon next power up systems locks on desktop. System appears to be in a wait state. Cursor moves but no clicks. Cannot
Ctrl/Alt/Del or anything else.

Have to go to safe mode to system restore. System restore works and all is fine except Avast again is telling me I have to re-register in 23 days. Have done this twice with same result.

Any ideas out there?

and it won’t let me re-register the Free Version…gave up on the Pro…when I load it, it loacks my PC up and I end up going to Safe Mode and uninstalling it, and going back to free Version, which won’t let me re-register it
